Sky Ranch Academy Coming in August 2023!

We are so excited to have Sky Ranch Academy join our community this upcoming August! Sky Ranch Academy is a tuition-free public charter school opening in 2023 to all children who live in Colorado.

During the September CAB Call, the following information was shared: 

Sky Ranch Academy is planning to begin the early stages of its recruitment and open enrollment in November 2022. Enrollment is open to everyone. The first year of school will have grades K-7 with around 25 students per class. Kindergarten will have 4 classes while 1st - 7th grade will have 3 classes.

If the school has more enrollment applications than seats, the following enrollment preferences will be followed:

1. Children of school board members and employees
2. Siblings of students in the Bennett school district that live in the Sky Ranch community
3. Siblings of students in the Bennett school district that live outside of the Sky Ranch community
4. Children who live in the Sky Ranch community but live outside the Bennett school district (i.e. home school in APS)

New Neighborhood Maintenance Issues and Requests Form

The CAC has a new intake form!

Jamaso Pad

 On Monday, August 15, 2022 the Sky Ranch community was invited to join Civitas Resources, Inc. for a community meeting to discuss the new oil and gas drilling site (Jamaso- 4-65) off Powhaton Rd. and E. Colfax. Ave. 

135 residences in Sky Ranch were notified of this meeting as their houses fall within 2,000 feet of the Jamaso pad. At this meeting, residents were allowed to ask questions to Civitas about the project. An overview of the project was also shared through a slide presentation (screenshots below).

Groundbreaking for Sky Ranch Academy!

We were so excited to be a part of the groundbreaking ceremony for Sky Ranch Academy this morning! The new school will be opening in 2023. A huge thank you to Jennifer Mahaffey, president of the Sky Ranch Academy board and local resident, for all her hard work in making this a reality. Sky Ranch Academy will be the hub of our community (both figuratively and literally) and we can't wait for all the benefits this will bring to our community.

Call for CAC Members

We are seeking interested candidates to fill positions on a Citizen’s Advisory Committee (CAC)

Candidates should be residents that are interested in learning how the Authority (CAB- Community Authority Board) structure operates and who have a desire to serve their community in this volunteer position. Meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday of the month. Interested residents should complete a letter of interest and email info.cac.skyranch@gmail.com.
